Victory at Green Bay

Legions of bitter cheese-heads will remember this day: When they watched an icon and living legend of Green Bay lore take to their home field as a Viking and beat them badly.
What do I say? Good going Brett! This was a great performance by the Vikes (7-1), with Brett, Adrian, Percy Harvin, Jared Allen, Sidney Rice, and Bernard Berrian leading the way.
Next stop: Detroit Lions on November 15. Gee, that will be a hard one.

I’m loving this more and more by the week. I have never cared for the Packers. Eventually Favre grew on me, and I grew up in the Twin Cities, so it’s easy for me to be happy to see him play well, be happy for the Vikes, and continue to dislike the Cheeseheads. This could be a magical run for the Vikings, except for that buzzsaw that is the New Orleans Saints. They look tough to beat, at least for now.

Its already been a great run as far as I am concerned. Vikings fans haven’t been this excited in years. But yeah, you have to wonder how they can do against the best of the league now, particularly after that loss to the Steelers.
Even beyond that, one has to wonder if this truly is Favre’s last year or if he will stick around for another one. Its amazing that the guy is 40 and still one of the best.
