Mr. Wilson,
This roadmap looks great. I am in the process of starting my own blog (http://www.plainpatriot.com), as I think you already know. However, one thing I have difficulty with is finding the time to keep content fresh and relevant. Additionally, while I have managed to navigate the technological aspects of hosting a blog, this is not my forte.
While there are a million blogs out in the blogosphere on nearly as many topics, I am planning on focusing on Lincoln and Nebraska topics.
To get to the bottom line, I was wondering if you would even consider doing any collaborative blogging? Maybe a collaborative podcast as well?
I would love to partner on an effort like this if you were interested.
Let me know what you think.

I’m definitely interested in establishing partnerships with local writers/bloggers. The exact nature of those partnerships is definitely up in the air at this point; that’s something I hope to think about more as I get closer to Lincolnite 1.0.
The collaborative podcast concept actually interests me even more. Again, it’s something I don’t have the time to work on right now, but I really want to pursue it as Lincolnite gets closer to being “finished”.
Keep in touch with me via the blog, or drop me an e-mail sometime at mrwilson at lincolnite and we’ll chat.

Mr. Wilson,
I’m glad to hear your response. I think with your domain, your site design (clean, simple, feature rich) that you have the start of something really good. I think I have a lot to offer in the way of content ideas, marketing ideas, writing skill, and desire, but I tend to get bogged down in the technical issues related to creating a site.
I know I’ve approached you a bit prematurely since you haven’t completed all the items on your Lincolnite 1.0 road map, but I thought that it might be a good time to start thinking about some of those issues and I also thought that maybe I could partner to help you get some of the Lincolnite 1.0 road map items complete.
Additionally, the explosion of pod casting has been phenomenal. The growth in the number of pod casts has exploded exponentially in the last year it seems. This growth seems to have brought some high quality content, but has also taken pod casting to a new audience, both on the creation and consumption sides of the equation. I’ve done some quick research and I can find only one local pod cast ( http://homepage.mac.com/nwatson1/iblog/). There may be some other local pod casts I am unaware of, but my point is that I believe the time is ripe for putting together a local pod cast and becoming the premiere pod cast in the local area (Lincoln and Nebraska). I think the type of topics you approach on Lincolnite.com would be ripe for a pod cast, which is to say a local general interest pod cast.
Anyway, I look forward to continuing our discussion. If this conversation is a bit premature in your eyes, I definitely understand. However, I am willing to discuss some sort of collaborative effort much further. Additionally, I am willing to help in any way possible towards further development of Lincolnite 1.0, including modest (my funds are no where near unlimited...but I believe in the adage, ‘put your money where your mouth is’) financial assistance. I also think that some content/marketing plans would fit nicely with your technical road map.
I look forward talking with you further. Please feel free to email me or give me a call.
Thanks for your time.
