SPAM from the Mayor

Give the gift of mystery meat this year. The Mayor’s office has issued a SPAM challenge in which they are matching donated cans of SPAM to the Food Bank. Sounds like a cool idea to me.

I guess when it comes to canned meat spam is pretty good, but I can see how some find this a bit offensive.  Hat tip for encouraging folks to donate by stepping up and backing donations like a challenge on NPR.

I would rather have some stew, chili, dried beef, or some of those vienna snausages.

Potted meat scares me wink

Neat idea, but… they had to pick Spam? NO ONE in the mayor’s office could think of anything healthier?
