Evening at The Oven
The Missus and I ate at The Oven last night. I’m not typically the Indian food type, so I wasn’t all that enthusiastic about going. The Missus, on the other hand, was adamant. So we went. Gotta maintain a happy home life, y’know?
I’m glad we went. For one thing, my chicken tikka mahkani was very tasty. But beyond the food, The Oven has a nice atmosphere. And it is always good to see a local restaurant succeed.
One of these days I will get around to writing a review of The Oven in Eat Lincoln. One of these days.

It has been said that there are very few “very fine” restaurants in Lincoln and that The Oven happens to be one of them. I’ve never met anyone who was dissapointed.
Indian is definitely one of my top 5 favorite national cuisines. I have never been to India (or Pakistan) but it is said that the best food from the sub-continent can be found either in England or Malaysia. Well having been to Malaysia over 20 times in my lifetime and partaking generously in the Indian food, I can attest to the quality of The Oven. Presentation is of course different (as is the price!), but the food quality is excellent.

You are quite a bit more “gourmet” than I, Mr. T. If you would like to author a review of The Oven for Eat Lincoln, you certainly can. I just don’t have the ability to judge places like The Oven comparatively like you do.

Ahhhh, but The Oven has some nice potato dishes!
